Many foot problems are caused by running. An example of this that can happen regularly when training regularly are stress fractures. One of the common complaints of runners is the numbness that they are experiencing. This is the tingling sensation that you would commonly feel on your feet and toes (that is not related to the cold weather). This can be the cause of tightly worn shoes or shoelaces. The medical condition wherein the big toe joint enlarges is called Bunions. This is caused by a lot of pressure and can also swell.

Another foot issue experience by runners is corns. These are hard and painful lumps on your feet as a result of constant rubbing or pressure from shoes that are also too tight. Make sure there is enough space in the toebox, because when your toes can't wiggle, your shoes are tight.

A lot of runners can also suffer from foot blisters. They are the tiny bubbles of skin filled with clear liquid that you can found anywhere on your foot. They can cause a lot of pain in your foot particularly when you are running for a long mile. They are mostly caused by the friction of your feet between your socks and skin. Other source of blisters also includes small shoes, tight shoes, moisture and sweaty foot.
