Yellow Be Gone With Whitening Teeth

Teeth become less white over time because the enamel is becoming more porous that discolors it. Drinking red wine and coffee, the fluoride in tap water, and smoking are some of the factors causing discoloration. As what is believed by many, having white one boosts confidence but bleaching can be costly. Good for them because there are various solutions in whitening teeth.

Most people resort to this product because it is less expensive. Whitening toothpaste can be bought at local supermarkets or groceries. Check out the label if there is the blue covarine component. It creates its magic by creating an optical illusion that will make it appear less yellow. Brush twice every day and see the results from two to four weeks.

There are also kit or trays containing carbamide peroxide which removes deep and surface stains. There is a peroxide gel that will be applied to the surface. In other trays, the kit is in a tray that molds to the gums. It must be worn daily for thirty to forty five minutes, for a week and more.

Strips will also help in getting rid of tooth stains. They are very thin and are coated with peroxide based gel. It is worn daily for a few minutes and will last after a year. The improvement will be seen even after few days.

While there are over the counter products that will whiten discoloration, some people still choose the age old home remedy. Brushing using a baking soda is proven effective to remove stains. And also, fruits which trigger saliva such as carrots, pears, apples, and celery wash away the food stains.

Pens so called whitening pens also used so that you will no longer stop that smile from being flashed to a wide range of crowd. However, they function for a fresher breath not a whiter teeth. They also function to kill bacteria that are residing inside your mouth. It is used through coating with gel and shall be left for thirty to forty five minutes. Drinking and eating within application is not allowed.

The foolproof way in removing the yellow color is through the use of technology, so called laser bleaching. A rubber shield will be attached to the gums and a bleaching gel to the teeth. After that, a laser will be activated that will actuates the chemical found at the gel. This process can be a little expensive, however the effect will last for one year.

As a person grown older the outside layer of enamel wore away. It is important to monitor the foods eaten to maintain that killer smile. As much as possible, avoid drinking coffee because they are the culprit of discoloration. As soon as a person drink more coffee, the more the stains will develop and the more that it will become noticeable.

There are methods in whitening teeth. Some are expensive, and some are not. But that does not mean that you are free to take many foods that will affect the color of it. You have to discipline yourself and learn to avoid taking the foods that discolor it.
