If you did not know it, eating fish produces many good benefits. Yes, there are many people out there who are cautious of eating fish because of the fact that now day's fish has a lot of mercury in it. We need fish in our diet, so you should check which types of fish have the most mercury in them so you know to stay clear of that type of fish.

Fish contains Omega-3 fatty acids which actually are really good for one's body. These fatty acids actually help to prevent diseases and cancers from happening. Here are other benefits:

1. Depression - Eating fish will actually lower depression. The Omega-3 fatty acids in fish also help to work against depression. Serotonin is released to the brain which makes you become happier.

2. Prevents Alzheimer's - The consumption of fish helps limit the risk of high blood pressure. Therefore, the chances of dementia get greatly reduced. Moreover, the brain cells suffer lesser risk of damage due to the presence of polyunsaturated fatty acid in most kinds of fish.

3. Enhances Skin - A diet that contains fish such as salmon is known to act as a skin-enhancing regime. The regular, yet moderate consumption of fish has anti-aging, anti-wrinkle effects, thereby making the skin younger-looking.

4. Controls Asthma - Since fish has so much protein, it is needed when growing up. This is essential for kids that are asthmatic and by adding fish to one's diet, their asthma can be reduced.

As you can see eating fish has many great benefits to helping one's health. I know this for a fact because I eat fish a lot. It is a regular part of my diet. Fish not only can make one look better, but it can also make one feel better.
