Everyone wishes to have comfort while engaging in various activities. Additionally, people wish to conveniently be able to do the things they want to do. Every animal has a way of removing waste materials from its body. For instance, water and other mineral salts like urea is removed through the urination and excretion while passing stool is done through various bowel movements. It is important to properly dispose of the waste by having toilets. Water closets are often preferred because of their ability to prevent smell from coming out of toilets. In order to feel comfortable while passing waste, many people prefer having raised toilet seats because of various reasons.

You do not have to strain too much by squatting on lowly placed holes. Some people often complain of experiencing back pains whenever they squat for long durations thus the need for them to find alternatives. No one however complains of resting on these toilets since they are very comfortable making them preferred by people with back problems or the elderly.

It is almost impossible to have water overflowing from toilets with sitting surfaces. This problem is common in houses with toilets that do not have anywhere people can sit. Whenever such toilets block, water often spreads to various places in such houses thus causing serious damages on materials that are easily damaged by water.

Falling in dirty toilets is something that everyone never wants to experience. You feel dirty. The situation could even be worse if such toilets are not the elevated types since you are likely to fall where the human waste is. To avoid such incidents from occurring, having toilets with elevated sitting surfaces is sometimes essential since it is unlikely for anyone to fall trip into the waste.

It is quite common for homes and companies to see blocked toilets because of accumulation of solid waste. This is very annoying and disturbing specifically for toilets that do not have a resting surface. It might even worsen if water cannot remove the blockages as this may make life unbearable for many people. Toilets with resting places help homes avoid such occurrences.

Most toilets that have a sitting surface have a lid for covering the contents. This makes them ideal for households that may not have sufficient supply of water since you can cover the awful smell from coming out. Toilets without a resting surface do not have a lid thus can be very annoying since they emit odors when the waste is not flashed.

The air locks in toilets which have high resting surfaces make it difficult for odors to come from such toilets even in times when there are blockages. This is contrary to pit latrines and lowly placed toilets. They can therefore be placed in small houses without any discomfort being experienced by members of such households.

Toilets that have high seats are ideal for homes and small offices because it is easy to spread skin diseases if shared by many people. Raised toilet seats may sometimes be difficult to clean especially in areas that have limited supply of water. However, they make houses to appear neat and more presentable compared to their low counterparts.
